So, in the last couple of weeks, yet another ice cream shop has opened within a block of my house.

That brings the total to six.

Within a block!

They all seem to do a nice business, especially in the evenings. The ice cream shops are so nice here. They all have waitress service, they take the order, and even serve water with the order...even at Baskin Robbins and Swensens. They are all much more snazzily decorated than those in the US....some of them are very nice with comfy armchairs to sit in and magazines to browse. They must be taking design cues from Starbucks (2 within walking distance).

The new one we went to this evening was excellent....they had flavours like Thai Tea and Passionfruit Sorbet (along with Mint Chocolate Oreo).

Yum.

But, perhaps, it would be better if we had to stroll a little bit farther to get to those calories. 😉
