We're here !!

Well we've survived our first week !! Hong Kong was awesome, the amount of sky scrapers there is unbelievable ! It actually almost blew Naths mind trying to work out how it all fit in !!
We managed to fit in an awful lot in the 3 days we were there, including a damn good night out ! Climbing the Peak in the tram and then walking around the top was definitely a highlight, the views were incredible !
We also watched the light show from the waters edge, where the sky scrapers on the opposite side on Hong Kong island have light displays, that was pretty awesome too.

Now we're in Bangkok, have had a really good time here too, what a place it is ! Pretty much anything goes here, we saw an elephant crossing the street on our first day, and since then we've gotten used to the lady boys wandering about, and tuk tuks and every imaginable food being sold on each corner !

We're staying really close to where most of the backpacker action is on khao san road, is such a wicked place, have bagged ourselves a few bargains ! Actually Naths been worse than I have with shopping !! He is now proudly sporting his very own man bag ! I dont have to carry a thing ! is great !!

Heading out tomorrow for Kanchanaburi, which is where the bridge over River Kwai is, may stay there a couple days. Has been great here, although will be good to get out of the city and away from its smell !!
After that we'll head north towards Chang Mai and Laos.

Hey dudes glad to hear you're having a great time ... looks like Nath needs to get the green hinge out for his sunburn tho... thought you'd have learnt to use more suncream by now BigMan!! Lovin the sarong and blouse combo Norm - it's nearly as lovely as the denim mandarin shirt I had to wear at the royal gardens in the mountains near chiang mai - I never went anywhere without a cardi and sarong of my own after that - couldn't face the fashion disasters of oversized Thai cover alls!! Enjoiy the North - we actually preferred it in the mountains and jungles - much more peaceful and authentically thai but with some cool little bars still! moma Sorensen is over here til Jan niow, am picking her up tomorrow to come stay on the boat with us so that should be fun. ANyway, keep enjoying your trip and posting lots of pics for us green eyed monsters back here in rainy England Love u both loads Carly and Mike xxxxxxxxxxxxx

glad to see u're enjoying...wow what a burn nath!...i'm here visiting the skipper's pad enjoying soup,carly and the views! what a GREAT place to live...getting connected to the net at G and G's in a couple of weeks so should be able to track w/u guys better then miss u and wanna be there too!!!! Getting lots of support in place for G and G so they r happy with that especially Granny who's needed support.....glad I'm here ....well, rave on roamers and keep sending those good piccies.... love ya..... mutha/marian x
