Fortunately I had been warned about the buses and taxis that run travellers from the airport into Bangkok so finding a reasonably priced bus to Khaosan Road wasn't too much hassel. Andy had emailed a place just a short walk from the main street so we dumped our stuff and went for a stroll. A 'couple of beers' evolved into a well fun night with a couple of people from Yorkshire, a Canadian army guy and a host of randoms. Despite having a wicked night we both agreed to catch the night bus the next day and escape to the relative bliss of Cambodia. Still, we squeezed in a days sight seeing in a tuk-tuk which consisted of multiple Buddha viewings then caught the 11pm bus to the border...
