It was something of a gamble catching the last bus to the border but it worked a treat as we skimped on a nights accommodation and met a couple of Swedish girls and a Thai lad. They worked in a bar in Sihanoukville (where we were headed) so the journey turned out alright. We're planning on leaving Sihanoukville tomorrow 28th) which is a hard task as it's a good blast. It's quite obvious that we're visting in the low season as there are plenty of large bars, most of which are very quiet but a few seem to pack out by 4am! A couple of highlights include the first night where we found a peaceful beach to watch the sunset (see pictures!). We then moved on to have a beer with the sea at our feet whilst watching a storm rage out at sea. Also, caining it along another deserted beach on a motocross bike and a proper Cambodian massage stand out as highlights. Andy also embarked on spot of late swimming, I was in stitches watching him crashing around in the waves.

We also spent a couple of days on rented mopeds and along with Adam, visited some nearby waterfalls. Andy went for a dip upstream from the locals who unfortunately seem to care very little for their beautiful country; littering is standard practice. After a brief encounter with a cobra (that looked very poisonous if I have learnt anything from Steve Irwin), we decided to head back for lack of petrol. Having met a guy called Tom we checked out a restaurant recommended in the Lonely Planet which had amazing views over the surrounding area. The rain prolonged our stay there but none of us were complaining.

So having spent four times as long as we planned in Sihanoukville we finally bought a bus ticket for Phnom Penh. Our last night was again brilliant bus we still managed to catch the bus the next morning, we travelled with Ceira and John. They had been through Phnom Penh before and recommended we didn't need longer than a couple of days there.
