Mons Shiny White TeethMons Shiny White TeethMons Shiny White Teeth

The pain, the pain!!!
The morning/afternoon after we woke up with fuzzy heads and at first thought we had been burgled judging by the state of the room. Mon then realised as her brain slowly started working again that she had made an appointment to have her teeth whitened down the road in a few hours. We managed to shower, dress and feed ourselves and get her down there with seconds to spare.

Joe entertained himself in an internet cafe for an hour after which Mon emerged with a glowing Hollywood smile! The catch was every few minutes she would pull crazy faces as she had spasms of pain in her teeth. Joe tried not to laugh. Unsuccessfully. Mon's teeth did look much whiter though, but she was told she could only eat white food for 24 hours. Rice sandwich anyone?

After that we went to the local dive shop we had been to before as we had a few bits to sort out. After much wandering around identical looking streets we eventually found it and had a nice chat with an English chap named Toby. Mon wanted to get a prescription mask as she was sick of diving with contact lenses. It

turned out she could get lenses for her current mask but they didn't have them in that branch so we headed over to their main branch a few stops away on the Bangkok sky train. The other shop was massive, but it turned out they only had one of the required lenses... We told them we were only staying in Bangkok for a couple of days and the guy actually jumped on his moped and went and got the lense from another local dive shop! Great service! They fitted Mon's new lenses and gave Joes mask a free service (it had shit growing in it) and we both looked around the shop and bought new snorkels. That evening we ate at another nearby guest house and Mon order the only all white dish she could find on the menu - jacket potato with garlic and butter. It turned up a few minutes later and we thought they had removed the skin, which was handy as it wasn’t white. However, on closer inspection it was actually mashed potato moulded into a potato shape. Hmmmm. After that, the hard bed was calling us. Even though we were knackered we were still suffering

from jet lag and struggled to sleep until about 4am! Because we had been having late nights and getting up late we had not reprogrammed to the correct time zone.
