Hi family & friends,

This blog is about some of the things we did our last month in Korea. Even though we were very busy our last month selling our stuff (our Kia Avella - “Snowflake,” some home appliances, etc.) and packing up the rest to bring home to our storage facilities (both our parents’ homes!), we still found some time to see some friends and do some things that we had wanted to do before leaving Korea.

The first set of photos from this blog is from our day trip to a Korean theme park called “Lotte World.” Lotte World was very interesting - especially since it had a lot of similarities to Disney World (for example, look at the castle and the 2 main characters that represent the park!!). It was unique though in the sense that it had both an indoor and an outdoor area, with lots of rides and activities in both! It was cool that they were celebrating Halloween too, even though the holiday was not for nearly another 2 months. There was a parade and lots of really nice decorations throughout the park. There was even a special Halloween show on the main

stage.

The next set of pictures is from the weekend that our two friends, Kristin and Phil, came to Korea for a visit. They are from the U.S. (I went to college and was on the Michigan Dance Team with Kristin), however, they are now living and working in Japan - and so they didn’t have too long of a flight! This weekend we had a lot of fun. We went to the Namsan Tower, took a cruise on the Han River, went shopping in Namdaemun & Myeong Dong, and had some good meals - brunch at Butterfinger Pancakes and dinner at Zen Hideaway, just to name a few. If you’re reading this guys, thanks so much for coming to see us…we really had a great time!

And finally, the last set of photos is from a little gathering we had at our apartment our final week in Korea - that’s why it looks so empty! We just had over some of our closest friends and coworkers, but it was a good time had by all!

Well, thanks for reading and sorry again for posting these so late. We’re just happy to be catching up!

Talk to you soon~
Love,
Larry & Melanie
