Jeju Island, South Korea - Over the Korean Thanksgiving Holiday

Hi everyone!

This blog is from a little weekend trip Larry and I took over Chuseok - the Korean Thanksgiving holiday - this past September. We decided that since we would soon be leaving Korea to start a new adventure at the end of this month, that we should use this vacation to see an area of the country that we have not yet seen. Jeju Island in Korea, sometimes described by the locals as an ideal honeymoon destination, seemed like a wonderful place to go!

And it was, as we had a fabulous time! As you can see by the photos, we went to many of the tourist attractions, including: The Chocolate Museum, The Museum of Sex & Health, Sooingook Miniature Theme Park, The Crocodile & Alligator Farm, The Teddy Bear Museum, and Loveland. Loveland probably ended up being the most enjoyable, yet controversial place that we went - especially since we saw some 5-year-olds running around with maps of what they wanted to see on our way out! It was quite interesting, and the concept probably wouldn’t work in our country, which made the experience all the more taboo! We also saw the gorgeous nature of the island, some of which included the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, among many others, and Mt. Halla. We stayed at “The Suites” which was a lovely hotel right in the middle of many of the attractions and sights we saw.
