Celebration Here is just some stories and pictures from March till June. On March 30th I said a tearful good bye to my best friend in Korea, Amy. We've had so many fun times together and Amy is such a free spirited, wild girl. My saying for her is, it's never dull when Amy's around. We had a great last night together doing what we do best, partying it up. Next up on our pictures is the Cherry Blossom Festival, which was't so much a festival as it is was a mad amount of people walking among the trees in a certain area of Seoul. It was pretty, but not what it was cracked up to be. On April 28-29 we decided it was time to get out of the city and check out some nature. We went on a tour guided trip with about 50 other foreigners to a place called Soraksan. The hike on the first day ended with about 1000 steps that went straight up. Yup they were killer. That night ended with major drama when the owner of the tour guide was intoxicated and began to beat up his girlfriend. Some foreigners stepped in and the next
morning the girlfriend was gone and many foreigners were angry and didn't even go on the second day hike. We still went. The hike was very chilled and easy. A year earlier a massive mud slide happened where we were hiking so there was twisted metal from old bridges and walkways. It was not the nicest hike as there was construction going on to repair this and we hiked to a waterfall that was a tad dissapointing. All in all the mountains were beautiful but of course they're no Rockies. Next we went to one of the Hi Seoul Festivals, The DJ Festival. We even met the mayor. A large group of people came by in suits and cameras and news stations were all around. Next thing we knew we were being photographed shaking his hand. Who knows maybe we ended up on the Korean news. The DJ festvial was pretty sweet. We danced until about 7:00am. After that came the big ONE year anniversary so we did up in style. We bought VIP tickets to Cirque du Soleil which entailed having a private tent to enjoy pre drinks and food. We also got front and center seats that were
5th row. What an amazing show! We also stayed at the Grand Hyatt which is by far one of the nicest hotels in Korea. They decorated our room with pink balloons, left us chocolate and we drank champagne all night. It was perfect, well except for the massively bad sunburn we go the next day from drinking poolside. Will I ever learn to put sunscreen on. Erich, Tim, Ryan and I took a day trip to Seoul Tower. We took a cable car and just enjoyed the day by looking at the view and drinking beer. Oh we also enjoyed looking at the smog. As most of you already know Ryan's soccer team, LOKO won their league this year. Last season they were last place. At the team awards, Ryan won most versatile player and at the league awards LOKO won for best goalie which Ryan shared with another team mate. Ryan was goalie for about half the season. Yay Ryan!! We took the kiddies on a field trip to the Zoo or as I call it the Ghetto zoo. It was actually a bit depressing seeing the animals in small cages but I did get to meet an orangutan
who stars on commercials and local shows. She was a doll. Ok and last but not least we have some Canada Day photos on here. Canada Day was a blast at the Rocky Mountain Tavern, which is a Canadian owned bar. For some bizzarre reason there were a few Americans there, guess they knew it would be a great party. In true fashion they were sure to wear shirts that bragged that they were American. As one boy's shirt read "Fuck You All, I'm from Texas". Nice hey. But it didn't put a damper on things. The Canadians rocked out to the Hip and drank Moosehead beer. Good Times!

Hey Guys, Actually the view from the mountain is awesome. Lisa, I am sure you absolutely loved those stairs. The whole time I'll bet you were thinking about how much they were toning your tight little butt. We are going crazy thinking about seeing you guys again!! We are so excited, even Arrow (tell Ryan to bring antihistamine).
