Halloween
Super Teachers~ Hey everyone,
Well fall is finally here and the colors of the trees are trurning from green to all kinds of yellows, oranges, and reds. Its still been pretty nice here weather wise. Much cooler than it was in the summer and I am enjoying the cooler "sweater" weather instead of the scorching hot three showers a day humid heat.
The past two weeks have been busy again so I am finally just getting around to updating~! Halloween here was a great success with two full days of princesses, super heroes, ghosts, goblins and a homemade haunted house to boot. We were busy but it was worth it to spend some time with the kids and actually get a day to play and not teach. I was in charge of the Candy Apple stand with Jasmine and that was super fun. I don't think that the kids truly apprecitate the goodness of a candy apple but it was still fun making them. I dressed up as Wonder woman and was joined in combat by my fellows Batman and Superman (Adam and Morgan). The night before all the festivities began all of us teachers stayed late at school to set up this
Halloween
Kangaroo Class!! massive haunted house for the kids and even though we were all a little tired and worn out the next day, the kids were super scared and some of them even cried~! The boys did a good job, especially Josh, with being spooky and scarring the living daylights out of most of the kids, even though they said they weren't scared you could see the fear on their little faces~!
After all the tricks and treats were finished with life went back to normal around Sullivan school. Josh washed his face (althouh some of the kids were still scared of him) and we were all glad that the event was so successful. The best part was that we didn't have to clean up one thing in the haunted house! We are so thankful for our coteachers let me tell you cause that place was a mess~! Lucky for us~
And I have also had a friend, Preston, from back home visiting me for the past week and a half. So we have been doing a bit of sight seeing and touring around here and there which has been nice. Last week we went on a field trip with my
Halloween
My fellow crime fighters class to the Children's Grand Park to watch an elephant show. It was pretty fun but also kinda cruel to see these elephants that are trained for this kind of thing. My kids had a good time and enjoyed feeding and going for a little ride on the elephants. My kids were pretty tired at the end of the day but it was nice to get out and about and see some of the fall colors as well. On the weekend Preston and I had a chance to go out to Nami Island, which is about 2 hours out of the city. When we got to the train station we found out that there was only standing room on the train so that was kind of a downer but we didn't really have a choice so we suffered with the standing. When we actually got out to the island there was seriously sooo many people waiting in line to catch the ferry it was ridiculous~ So we forwent the island and instead just did some walking around by the river and took some pictures. We went for lunch at a Dachgalbi ( Chicken, cabbage, rice noodles and spicy sauce) place

Even super heroes need naps! and then caught the bus back to Seoul.
Being the good friend and tour guide that I am I couldn't let Preston leave Korea without seeing the sights and partyin it up at least once. So, after a seated bus ride back to the city and a quick nap, we were ready to hit the streets and rip it up in Itaewan. We met up with Jasmine and Mia for some supper at Ho Lee Chow chinese restaurant and then it was off to the Bungalow and many other places that night. We met a lot of new and interesting people and had some good times line dancing and two steppin it up at The Grand Ol'Opry. There were possibly a few too may alcoholic beverages consumed but all in all it was a fun night.
But he's gone now and life is back to normal again. I am getting pretty excited for Christmas and my trip to the Phillipines! Hard to believe how fast the year has flown by and that I will be home in three months!!
Anyways, take care everyone and I will update again soon, hopefully with some more pictures!
Much Love,
Trena
