Travel Period: 27 - 29 Apr 2008

Just 4 hours by bus from Kuala Lumpur, I crossed the border to Singapore ("an air-conditioned city state", according to Tiziano Terzani) to do shopping!

Singapore has developed to be the main financial hub in South East Asia. It works very hard to position itself to be a modern and developed country in the past few decades. It has succeeded to achieve so under the determination (yet in a dictator way) of Lee Kwan Yew.
