Traveling has become my obsession. Whenever I have spare time, I always plan on going to places. If I only have enough resources and more vacation leaves, I would have wandered to all the places included in my travel wishlisht.

It is holy week, this should have been the perfect time to have an out-of-town vacation. I should have been snorkeling in Palawan, or beachcombing in Boracay. But here I am, at home, trying to alleviate the boredom of staying inside the house for days.

I need to go somewhere. Would I climb to Mt. Samat in Bataan, go swimming in the beaches in Olongapo, island-hop in Hundred Islands, Pangasinan? If I only have more funds to spend. Ahhh, this is torture! Wait, maybe I need not go further and shell out some cash. There are still places within our vicinity which I still have to discover.

Saturday morning - we eagerly packed for a day trip. I ‘ve been hearing a lot about a farm resort located in Bacolor, Pampanga. This is the time to have an ocular scrutiny of the place. Bringing our own food with us, we reached the resort after an hour or so. The entrance gate welcomed us with a huge signpost of Leos’ Leisure Park. There were already cars parked outside, maybe they stayed overnight. After we paid for the resort’s entrance fee of Php 250.00, we looked for a cottage where we can hang out.

The place was supposed to be a factory site, but since it was like a swamp, the owner decided to develop it into a farm resort. It has a lagoon/pond in the middle where one can go boating or fishing. The freshwater pool is shaded with bamboo, and other trees, which make it ideal for swimming. There is also a Batis Pool with very fresh and cool water. The bamboo-made lodges and cottages for overnight stay are beautifully-landscaped along the resort. A mini-zoo is located at the far-end of the resort, which has ostriches, iguana, horses, birds and ducks among others. A mini-golf is situated at the entrance of the resort.

How to get there : From San Fernando, Pampanga, ride on a jeep going to Angeles City. Tell the driver to drop you off on Holy Angel Village (Marlboro), fare is Php 15.00. From the corner street of Holy Angel Village, ride on a tric to get you to the resort. Tric fare is also Php 15.00.

Group Excursion
Hello! My fellow Arellanites, Class '67 are planning a reunion at your site on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009. First, are you open on Sundays? Some questions: 1. I know visitors are allowed to bring in food, but do you also have a restaurant on site? 2. What group size would you be willing to give a group rate? 3. Do you require a reservation for a large group? If so, how much time do you require to make the reservation? 4. How much time do you require to reserve villas? I would appreciate hearing from you ASAP. I am based in San Francisco, California

Possible Venue for Jamborees
We have these two major events in November 2011 ~~ National Jamborees to be organized by ASAPhil for Architecture students and by USAS for Animal Science & Vet Med students with around 400-500 pax for each event. There'll be lectures, sports events, quiz show, musical literary contests, among others. Will Leo's Leisure Park be a possible venue for these national events? Please advise. Thanks & best regards!
