We arrived back home in Kaohsiung on Sunday, January 13th, having lost Saturday in traveling. The weather was very nice, such a change after Saskatchewan! We settled back in, getting groceries at the market, riding our scooters and Linda teaching. Fresh fish, crabs, lobsters, shrimp, oysters, squid, eels, and other things we didn't know were all offered for sale.

Buy the fish from the venders, and there are restaurants right there to cook your purchase.

They make these on the beach, they are pretty and only costs a buck to take some photos.

There is a little Christian monument on this little rock just off the beach. People were lining up for photos.

The tide goes out and leaves the sand glistening wet. The youngsters were running and jumping on to flat boards and skimming along the water.

We hired this sailboat to take us sailing and snorkeling, however, there was no wind and they ended up paddling most of the way.

We were able to get refills for these huge glasses. And we did, more than once!

First the ocean, then the white sand, then a row of trees for shade, then the malecon, and finally little shops and restaurants create a wonderful ambiance!

A huge and modern mall located near the waterfront and the airport of Manila.

We watched as youngsters practiced their figure skating.

The mall was decorated for Chinese New Year, all in red and gold of course.

They say you must ride in the jeepneys in Manila. And we did, these are stretched jeeps that are used as buses for the locals.

Crowded and busy, with few rules, the traffic gets tied up badly at times. The brightly colored jeepneys are everywhere.
