For most of us our wedding is the more special event of our life! But for some like my brother-in-law, he wanted to make it a dream wedding- a never before wedding - a wedding where he took his entire close family to the Himalayas and tied the knot in the mountain flight at the closest point to The Mount Everest! My second one was just 2.5 months inside my stomach, and I was initially in 2 minds if I should take the risk.. but it was Kiran's wedding!! and what can go wrong when you are so close to The Himalayas- the most sacred place on earth!!

The entire family landed a day ahead and Jaggu, Vedh and I the next day. We could of course not drive too much with my state and hence could not join the gang for the previous night resort stay up the mountains at Kathmandu. We were ready for the exciting wedding- an adventure of its own kind! We landed at the Nepal airport and saw the mountain Yeti flight which was booked just for the 20 of us- a pandit to conduct the wedding and aunts, uncles, cousins, the 3 brothers and we of course 😊 We spent a few moments in silence and tension until we crossed the Nepal city and once we approached The Himalayas, we couldn't control our emotions. The sole air hostess tried her best to keep us in control but in vain :D We were too excited to stick to our seats and were running around popping heads near the same window, clicking pictures, and looking out in awe at the majestic mountains. After a while we realised the purpose of our trip 😉 and there started the wedding mantras, religious procedures, toe ring, sindoor and finally .. once the pilot informed us that we were at the closest point to Mount Everest, the wedding knot!!! Wow!! Celebrations galore. We had witnessed the most beautiful unique union of 2 beautiful souls in a dream setup and had the most wonderful woman enter our Yellugari family 😊

The evening was followed by a late night party at the resort and when we are 20 of us, it feels like we own the resort. Dance, bonfire and celebrations!

We left the next day for a Kathmandu resort as I could not travel to Pokhara with the rest of the family.. had to take care of the next addition into the family 😊

With a lovely stay at the resort we completed our adventure, the wedding expedition of our dear Kiran and Priya :*
