After writing about 20 of my trips in a week's time, I thought of wrapping up all the remaining in this one blog entry :) .. reason.. my notice period at Philips is ending in a couple of days and next week starts my new life.. as the CEO of Jasha!!! wow.. anyway coming back to the remaining trips... March: 2007 started with our Ooty-Coonoor trip. We stayed at Lake View resort.. a very reasonably priced resort for the facilities it has... awesome view of the valley, a nice resturant and very spacious rooms. I had earlier been to Ooty only as a kid with family but still remembered quite a few places. We again went to all those standard places every tourist visits :) for the first day... but were pretty bored with it and ... read more

April 22nd; Our trips this year again started with Jag's birthday.. this time not a surprise however.. :) Since both of us were running short of privilege leaves we decided to go just for a weekend to a nice closeby resort. After quite some research on the net, Taj Kuteeram looked like a good option as I wanted to see Nithyagram also (it reminded me of my Bharathnatyam classes... lots of friends and lots of fun.. ). Our hero (who thinks he is the guru of directions) thought of taking a short route via Hesargatta and we went all around the world!! After a longg drive, we finally reached the resort but it was worth the drive.. Totally lovely place.. and the room was amazing.. The beds are made of red oxide raised platforms and so ... read more

I love planning trips and Jag loves driving.. There are not too many similarities between 2 of us otherwise.. but this one really works Since both of us used to work for the same company then, it was easy to plan the trips as well.. We would wait for long weekends and plan some trip for all of them.. My work would be to decide the location and book the resort and his would be to decide the route map. April 22: Our first trip was a surprise for Jag. Since it was his first birthday after our marriage, I wanted to make it special. With Chandan's help, (Chandan being the hero of our group for bike trips and treks) I planned a trip to Bheemeshwari. We went to the M.G.Road Karnataka Tourism office and planned ... read more

After a lot of drama Jag and I finally got married on Dec 13th 2004. Unfortunately Neer (my sister) could not make it for the wedding due to visa issues and hence Jag and I decided to go for our honeymoon to US just to meet her.. and it was totally totally worth it !!! I started looking for air tickets 4 months ahead and got a super cool deal for just 725$ each, but (rather and!) the route was all around the world!! What more can a newly wed couple who just wanted to be together ask for.. we were super excited about visiting Srilanka (where my dad lived then), Bangkok, Singapore and the US of A! We first landed in Srilanka and since our connecting flight was 10 hours later, Srilankan Airlines very courteously ... read more

Bangalore being my hometown is hence not a place that I have visited.. but I thought I should start with writing about this wonderful city before talking about the other lovely places we have visited. Let me start with the weather.. which is in my view the BEST in the world! The weather makes even other hiccups like traffic, bad roads and pollutions (temporary problems till our metro comes up) tolerable.. Some things I really love about Bangalore is the abundance of good resturants, the cosmopolitan people, and shopping streets and malls.. In other words there is nothing that is not available here which is available elsewhere :) For spots to visit in Bangalore, have a look at the photos posted .. I am not a party animal, so the (so-called) poor night life does not ... read more
