I have arrived Malaysia alive and well. It is definitely quite different from Japan. At the airport it feels like arriving in India. No pics yet. Just did a little exploring last night and today we are heading off to Melaka. Not much to say, really just letting everybody know I arrived. Our hotal last night was awesome. We stayed on the 18th floor and it was nice to have a big bed. Check you guys later.

Welcome to South East Asia! Japan don't count, sorry...LOL Way too clean and civilized and orderly. But now, you are starting to climb down the ladder of the familiar into the way way unfamiliar. Which is what this whole thing is all about, huh? Now's a good time to check your bag - make sure you have everything, because KL is pretty good when it comes to shopping. Also, if you still need a shot to finish a series, this is a good spot also, because facilities are clean and cheap and pretty functional. Also, take a HARD look at what you got and how heavy is your bag anyway? From here on out, unless you followed my usually confused comments, you will do a lot of shlepping of the thing and it will start to get h-e-a-v-y... Try the peanut pancakes for breakfast if you can find them - and remember you are now in a Muslim country. I know, hard to forget with all the scarves on the women. Just be a little bit more aware...women are regarded much differently than they are in the West. No comment. Cheers
