Hey you. It's time to dust off the old blog and let you know what's been happening in the life of an expat. The last 6 weeks have flown by and I take this as an indication I am feeling settled into the new lifestyle. Although I must admit that I am starting to miss a few things like the media craze of American sports. Especially now that both the NFL and College seasons have started I find mys... my unsuccessful trip seeking views of the city ended with a dog from this house jumping the fence and growling at me. the british guy that lived there came out and called him off once he realized I was a confused tourist, not a burglar.

the guy on the right is holding a blow gun and he let a few of us shoot a small dart through a balloon. I had to shoot over a family that was enjoying their dinner, but somehow managed to nail it on the first try.

enjoying the blog
Adam, I can't tell you how much I love your blog and really appreciate your great writing style and humor. You should consider a career as a travel writer. I never knew you lived in Holland as a child. My entire family lives in Rotterdam and I spent every third summer there growing up and still try to visit once a year. Keep writing and I hope you're not too homesick!

Adam, I so enjoyed reading your blog while eating my lunch (11:00 - 11:45 CST). A lunch from 1:00 - 2:00 is the middle of the afternoon for me! You add a sense of realism to an area of the world I know little about. You also have a great writing style. The ISU Cyclones play Kansas this Saturday at Kansas. There were some unhappy Cyclone fans this morning after the one point loss to K.State on Saturday! Take care and enjoy, Jane Stalheim
