Hotel Lobby at night Breakfast was outstanding as usual. I got to sit over near the juice station, so had to trek for the fruit and pancakes. They are getting used to me. seems that if I leave my spoon in my coffee cup, they wont clear away all my stuff - a trick I learnt from watching the table selection girl that directs you to your table upon entering the food hall. She will confirm the table is ok, then pick up the spoon and put it in the cup, and walk away.
Day two of the training - today we will have a full day with the software, installing and configuring, very worthwhile. I learnt a lot, created a lot, got into trouble and out again as required. Getting the hang of running the VM, and even after installing loads of applications, its still performing well on my shiny new laptop with its 16Gb RAM. We have caught up and running on time with the course material, so should have some time to do some extra items on the third and final day.
Back to the room by 5.30pm, still have some daylight so I put on my cozy and head

Hotel Lobby at night down the pool for a few laps to work off morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. After dodging the pool crowd swimming back and forth, i take a well earned rest on the umbrella covered deck chairs. Only right to order a beer at this point, as the bar is about to close. I read the local paper while relaxing by the pool, and the sun disappears over the horizon. I made some arrangements to meet some of the others on the course at TGI Fridays. So head back to the room, change and head out. TGI's is over in the shopping mall next door, which is a 5 storey monster of a building with an ice rink and movie theatre complex nestled in one corner. I find the right floor and walk for over 5 minutes to get to TGI's. Every shop you could imagine is here, and then some.
The guys at TGIF are from Taiwan and speak very good english. We have a few brews and some spicy chicken wings before engaging the staff in conversation over customs and local items of interest. We try to find out the low down on the local taxi system,

Convention Centre Hallway and staircase so we dont get ripped off on our trip back to KLIA. There are two taxis, the budget and premium, with the premium exactly double the price of a budget taxi, and supposedly just 'more comfort'. Well my experience with budget so far has been dismal, but willing to give it another crack tomorrow.
The hotel is rather special, I will include some photos here of the entrance hall, all emblazened with blue lights at night. Note how shiny the floor is, you can see the reflection of the lights. Also some photos of the gardens, and the pool to give you the full effect. The hotel is built on the side of a old tin mine so street level is at level 12 of the building - there are rooms above and below, with the pool and breakfast area on level 1. All this overlooks a water and themed parks below.
