Hello everyone!
I am sincerely sorry but it has been quite a while since my last blog update.. Due to circumstances I wasn't able to update my blog as often as I wanted.
The last time I told everyone about Wanda's arrival in Bangkok. That night we did explore the world renown Khao San Road. What can I say.. It was as great as it was horrible.. Everywhere people are trying to sell you their merchandise or services. You can't take two steps without someone pulling your arm if you want to have a hand-tailored suit or a tuk-tuk ride. That being said, it was a lot of fun walking around in his chaotic tourist heaven. From every club came loud music and the food all the stalls were selling looked mouth drippingly good!
The next day we decided it was a good idea to explore Bangkok so we walked to one of the sight seeing highlights mentioned in the Lonely Planet, the Grand Palace. And it looked truly grand! An Immense building with the most gold and other colors I have ever seen on an building. After walking around the great walls for a while we stumbled
upon a small market where a man started talking to us.
Apparently he was the 'owner' of most of the market stalls and he gave us some sight seeing advise. There was supposed to be a spectacular firework show that evening and we were lucky! It was a special day because all the temples were now open to the public which usually are closed for foreigners. Also, the government had issued a new law that tourist didn't have to pay any taxes on tours and ordering hotels that day! After he bartered with a tuk-tuk driver he got us to take the tuk-tuk to a temple and afterwards to the Tourist Authority of Thailand for just 40 bahts. I still don't know how we fell for this obvious scam but it is all part of the Bangkok experience.
The temple was indeed magnificent. A bright golden standing Buddha of over 100 feet tall was watching all over Bangkok. We went into the small shrine accompanying the Buddha and we returned to our tuk-tuk driver who still was waiting for us. He took us to a travel agent who wanted to plan our entire 3 months.. I told him we would think about it and took of. I prefer the planning on the go a bit more then handing over all of my travel money to this guy.
Anyways we had no clue in what part of Bangkok we were and after strolling around for quite a while we decided on taking a taxi, who of course are nowhere to be found when you need them. Thanks to this we got one of our best experiences in Bangkok.. A motor taxi. We told two guys where we needed to go and they told us to hop on the back. With rapid acceleration we slid through the traffic of Bangkok and within no time our adrenaline filled journey ended and we reached our destination. (When we got back to our hotel we found out that it is the No. 2 thing in the world to do for adrenaline junkies

After another great meal we already finished our last night in Bangkok and the day after we packed our bags and took of for Phuket.
I will tell you about this in the near future but since other people are waiting to use this PC I have to make it short!
Till soon and I Love You All!
