Melaka, Malaysia

We caught a taxi to Melaka, south of KL, the first settlement of Malaysia. Stayed in a several hundred year old Chinese home here. Take in the sights while being peddled around in a rick shaw. Very old buildings from the three eras of Emperialist rule this city has endured (Portugese, Dutch and British) although has now enjoyed independence for 50 years.

Taxi ride in a merc to Melaka was all good (dont get too excited it was really old !!!!) Then went for a rickshaw ridfe with a real little guy who must have weighed about 54kgs max !!! but he told me not to worry as he had "much stamina"

Melaka in the whole was pretty nice lots of good architecture, but if you were ona tight time frame then id give it a miss but if youve got time then definatly go check it out !!!!!
