TREKING TRAVELLING & TUBING PART 2

So we got to Pakbeng and a nice guesthouse to stay- power is only from 6-10pm but it was fine untilthe thunder, lightenng & rain started we thought the place was gonna fall in around us- it was madness.. early start thr next morning and we went to a cafe for breakfast- we all mostly ordered t toast & eggs they couldn't even get that right it was BRUTAL the owner even had to send someone out to get extra knives cos he hadn't enough for the 9 of us it was a killer we ended up leaving without gettin 1/2 our food- slow boat took 8 hours today it was twice as bad as yesterday and i was dosed with the flu aswell. Eventually arrived in Luang Praban about 7 and us group of 9 along with 2 canadains, 2 south Africans and 2 ozzies booked out a guesthouse it was very expensive at 2euro each it was lovely- we went out for a meal then met up with Grace & the girls there wasn't much to do it Luang Prabang so we decided we would head for Van Vieng the next day...

us 7 irish hired our own bus to Van Vieng it was a classs drive up through the mountains Daddy you wuda loved it it was class- a bit bummpy in parts though- Got to to Van Vieng after 6 hours but we had good craic on bus.. got a guest house in van viend got food then went to our beds as we where goig tubing the next day..

So Tuesday we headed tubing after 4 days of travelling just to do this one thing- bascially its where you sit in the tube of a tractor tyre and spend the day going down this river but the rives has bars the whole way down it and your pulled into them given free shots and there are all these zip lines that go over the water and the more drunk ppl get the more daring they get!!! As im sure you can imagine things gor very messy adn we where all locked by the time we got to the end- i went tubing for 2days met some crazy ppl the boys only managee one as there where slightly hungover!!

Thursday morning early we got the bus to Vientaine where we crossed the border back into thailand travelled to Nong Khai where we caught the night train backto bangkok-think i ate soemthing dodgy cos i was so sick the whole way plus the Airocon on the train was broke it was so so so hot and impossible to sleep. This morning Friday we arrived in Bangkok at 8am- we left our bags into the travel agent we booked all our travel from and headed to the MBK centre where we have spent the day in the cinema, bowling and trying to waste time- We are catching the night bus & boat to Koh Samui in an hours which will take 15hours at least so we not looking forward to it- we in Koh Samui for 2 nights im looking forard to topping up my tan and having a bulmers in the irish bar- think the boys looking forward to relaxing aswell- then on to Koh Phangan for the full Moon- yipeeeeeeeeeeee let the madness begin. Meeting up with Nicky & the scottish crew ther so should be good fun.
