After crossing the Mekong into Laos, we headed straight to the Immigration desk, got our visas (1 month, $35), got stamped in and then found a hotel to crash for the night with the intention of catching the slow boat to Luang Prabang the next day. We so agree with you about the travelling part - retreading and revisiting for us definitely means we don't care as much about the journey any more, we just want to get there! What's the point in taking a 14 hour bus if a 2 hour flight is the same price and you've already done the journey?! This blog brought back some memories for us, we haven't been back to Luang Prabang since our first visit, we loved it though and the bakeries. Hopefully we'll see you at some point!
