Robert getting his fill of chashu ramen
Hello again, live from Tokyo.

We left Shizuoka early this morning. It has been raining for most of the day with some pretty darn blustery winds too. My umbrella I brought with me couldn't hack it and broke within 5 minutes of stepping our of our hotel. We managed to get a pair of good sturdy umbrellas though, for only 200 yen a piece!!

Taking full advantage of our Rail Pass,we got back on the bullet train and headed to Tokyo to drop our bags off. Then we headed to Shin-Yokohama, back to the darn Ramen Museum so Robert could get one last bowl of juicy ramen at the museum. We were going to buy some and bring it back but since the noodles are considered raw goods (they're not freeze-dried like cup-o-noodles) we'd have to risk customs taking them from us when we get back in the states.

We came back to Tokyo and realized just how big Tokyo Central Station was. We couldn't remember which lockers we had put our packs in!! After walking around and around for almost an hour, I showed the lady at the information desk my key and she was able to
Can you almost taste it?Can you almost taste it?Can you almost taste it?

It was really good
tell us where the lockers were. Whew!

We checked into our hostel, the Khaosan Toyko Annex, a branch of the first hostel we stayed at when we first got here. It's nice and clean, but small. Other than that we haven't really done much. We are really tired from walking everywhere, especially with the heavy packs on. After a good night's rest I'm sure we'll have lots more to tell you about tommorow.
