What is the government doing?
Indonesian has more attraction than Malaysia, and Borobudur should have earned the same fame/attraction like the Angkor Wat. Too bad their government doesnt know how to make use of such a precious historical site to earn more - I mean money, just like the Peruvian government does. And for Malaysia, I think the so called Visit Malaysia Year is just a joke.....

Sigh
The promotion of Borobudur and Prambanan is not enough hence not many foreigners there, especially from Malaysia. Many peoples know Angkor Wat but unfortunately most of them do not know that the Buddhist and Hindu was once flourished in Indonesia. The carvings and reliefs are as beautiful as in Angkor. In terms of tourism, i think the Thai Govt has done a very good job, from chiang mai to bangkok, the places are alway crowded with tourists. For Malaysia, due to some reasons, the uniqueness of 3 main races' cultures still not well promoted. For example, how many foreigners know that the Johor has god procession each year? This is an event which is rarely to be seen in else where. But no promotion has been done so far. sigh.

Unpolished Gem
Your journey report is like an unpolished gem. It would be helpful if you would find someone to help edit your report. You are trying to integrate a physical journey with a spiritual one, & the result in English is not always clear. Because you have done so well so far to share this, I encourage you to go one step further & seek help with your writing so others may appreciate the beauty of what you have understood so well. A well-written report will help foreigners understand the beauty of Borobudur, & that will encourage more tourists to visit.
