Hi
How fantastic! I loved to read this blog entry and check out all the blog photos. I was hoping for another recipe. And this was definately a food lovers entry. I have never been to Indonesia, and nobody has ever been able to interest me. Now, I am quite interested in a little visit. I am very envious, but through your blog, I feel like I am right there with you. Hope you are well. Can't wait to see the Singapore entry. xxxxT

Bali
Hi Nic, I was in Bali in 1993 & really liked it. After backpacking in Thailand, Malaysia & Borneo for 3 months, Bali was like returning to the 20th C. I'd travelled off the beaten track a lot. In Bali I spent most of the time in Kuta & a week in Ubud. I hadn't seen a TV in months so I spent every night in Kuta watching the latest movies (mostly 6 months old) in the bars/restaurants & getting a little drunk; I hadn't had any alcohol in 3 months either. I was backpacking on the extremely cheap option. I was only in Sinaphore for 2 days but managed to bump into people I'd met in turkey 3 months previously. It's a small backpack world. Liked Singaphore a lot but a bit clinical in the city. I remember there were Xmas decorations everywhere & it was still Nov. Not sure if it would be like that now? Look forward to reading the next update. Liam.
