WARUNG EXTRABLATT LEGIAN
The best German food with my gorgeous cousin On Saturday 12th we packed up and moved over to Seminyak for the 1st week at Kubu Cempaka which is a small resort tucked down a side street, lovely rooms, comfy beds great swimming pool with breakfast included which was alacarte but plenty of choices. Kaz and Reg arrived on the 12th and we were very excited to spend some time with them.......it is always such a great time with them....lots of chatter, laughter and sunset happy hours etc. Busy week catching up with a few people who happened to be here at the same time as us....Ken and Denese Carter...from the boys railway apprenticeship days....met them and had dinner at Warung Bule which is down is Legian but great food and cold, cold beers....great night had by all! Then to meetJen who used to relieve for us at Cabrini who I havent seen for ages....she had come to Bali to meet her girlfriend who now lives in Sweden....what a great spot to meet up...we met for sunset drinks on the beach and they joined us for our Friday Brunch at the Mulia. Were lucky to catch up with Josie as she was over from the island Lembongan for a couple
KUBU CEMPAKA SEMINYAK
Great little resort...cheap as chips of days....island life is looking after her she looks great and her spa is doing well...so if any of you are over that way look up Tonic Body and Soul Spa and treat yourself. We were also lucky that my cousin Lesley (Kaz's older sister) was still in Bali when we arrived so had a night out with them in Seminyak on the Sunday. Reg and Kaz planned to be here for two weeks but on their 4th morning here learnt that their brother in law had passed away overnight.....Kaz needed to be with her sister...so we spent a morning down at Garuda trying to change their flights home....after so many days being booked out we finally got them on a Friday night flight back to Sydney....so we enoyed the week with them very much but everyone was so sad about Jimmy's passing. This trip has been to just vege out and not do too much at all as we had a hectic time in France and England...so Bali is a really great recharging spot. Lots of morning walks and pool time was in order on most days. We visited a lot of our old favourite eating places as well
KUBU CEMPAKA
Great breaky, good beds and lovely pool as a couple of newbies....we are just so spoilt for choice in Bali...it is amazing food wise! Last night is Italy Cafe as it is a favourite of us all! Midday flight home to Melbourne which is a great time to get out of Bali and not that red eye special leaving just before midnight. Once again another great few weeks away until the 14th November when we are heading to Egypt for 13 days.
