It was much more serene and cool wandering around the beauty inside the palace walls.

I could have happily set down a few coushins and relaxed with a hooka and some music from the surrounding snake charmers... would have been better with a charmer of a prince to entertain me!

Hmm, back on the bus and happy to be sitting near the front away from most of the bundle, but unfortunately the only to notice the drivers heavy head and swervy hand on the wheel...

Thankfully I followed my curiosity and walked down this path to discover the most amazing accomodation Pushkar has to offer... at only $3 a night! I quickly walked back to my grotty hotel with a pool I couldnt even swim in to check out asap and head back to this Jamaica-esque escape.

I choose the non-air conditioned rooms in the old palace walls and was pleased to find myself in a spacious room with high ceilings and a courtyard filled with palms and monkeys and hippie neighbors with long hair to showjust how long their stay had been!

The local boys who found me and talked me into a ceremonial walk barefoot around the lake and a ride on their motorcycle... no I will not go back to your restaurant or climb to the top of that hill tonight no matter how nice the view! I mean really... but a little bonga wont hurt!
