day 5

Woohoo!! I did finally manage to fall asleep and woke up nice and rested... Good news my headache has gone! After 5 days... Have a HOT shower (as promised by the owner last night) HOT*HOT*HOT It's lovely to feel so nice and clean again after days of cold showers. I went downstairs and sorted breakfast and laundry out whilst DK was in the shower. Toast butter jam and coffee LOVELY. Only it's not coffee I think its tea - didn't drink it anyway...
Our room has a low table and an area to lounge around on all cushions and bolsters it's very nice so we sit on the floor there and have our breakfast. Was pretty cool. We are right near the Jain Temple which is beautiful so we went to have a look at that and then walked round the fort, didn't venture much further than that oh we had a snack pancakes a little sweet but nice - that was pretty much it, we came and sat on the balcony and read our books and I wrote this. It's so nice to chill out and do nothing after the horrors of yesterday we are so glad we decided to come here.
We asked Raj (owners son) to recommend somewhere to eat and he sent us next door to the SAGAR. Thali for DK, Veg biryani, mushroom and pea curry and naan bread for me. DK had a beer and I had water. Rps 165. Can't moan at that can you! After dinner we walked around the fort and bought some incense sticks and that is pretty much that. Went back to our room and played cards DK cheats. OOOh! Forgot to mention that it was chilly and foggy today; when I opened the shutters we couldn't see the houses in front of us. Couldn't believe that we were in India experiencing English weather. Everyone is in North Face jackets; scarf's and hats hee. The weather started clearing up about 10ish and it became warmer. Today has been really nice Lovely
Went to Saffron for dinner tonight. Very nice. Veg kebab, veg patties, veg dopiaza &veg pilau (ooo there's a veg theme here) Oh and naan bread. Then we had banana lassi all for 520rps WHOOP! Walked back to the room and just chilled out. Very nice.
