Up and to the bank, DK is having a love hate relationship with them at the moment.. i think its quite funny but I darent laugh 😊
KARMA will come and get my ass
Went back to the PANJIM INN for breakfast, that's where I am now, sat in the sun writing this...
Enjoyed yesterday, our walk was good so looking for an equally enjoyable one to pass some time this morning.
We went on a little stroll near our hotel up the hill to the temple - we've hardly been to any temples this holiday so its made a nice change for me, although I suspect that DK would rather poke his eyes out. Walked back through the village, quite nice, again Im going to say it seems very Med like. Very amusing to be strolling in the sun whilst in front of us a man was trying to sell CHRISTMAS decorations...
Went to the beach - what can I say - your at the beach - same ol same ol - chillin out - good times 😊
Went to look for present but DK got bored and narky - Hes wanted to eat apple pie all day so as he was sure that he had seen a bakery we could shop no more...
At this point I think that I must mention we are on a world wide apple pie quest to find the most perfect apple pie.There are a number of categories that seem to be added to as we go along;
Best Mediterranean: Zorbas in Ayia Napa - always worth the bus trip!
Poshest: Tendulkas in Mumbai
Best All Round: German Bakery in Jaisalmer (now thats apple pie worth talking about)
Anyway back to todays apple pie - good but not hitting the mark - maybe it was the strange addition of the icing? mmm not sure, but hey ho it was nice enough.
Actually we have just been talking about our fave pie - its ENGLISH apple pie - from a GERMAN bakery - served by a man from NEPAL in JAISALMER INDIA... how cool is that.Woohoo!!!
Tonight was a bit of a trauma trying to get back to PANJIM. We got a taxi, about 10 minutes down the road the driver gets a call, turns round and heads back. He says he jumped the queue and should not have picked us as a fare when there was another taxi driver in front of him (big croc if you ask me) He wouldnt let us out (loony) and we had to go all the way back to the rank. Once there they all started arguing, so me and DK just walked off, they all lost out... 😊
The taxi driver that eventually got us home was an accountant that made more money doing driving than accounting (go figure hee)
After a shower we went to the PANJIM INN for dinner (i know we have no imagination) dinner was good - veg biryani, prawn curry and bread - oh and a salad. With drinks it came to about 500rps so maybe our second most expensive meal. (our lanlord had warned us that this place was very very very expensive!hee)
A good end to a really good day...
