Well, both I and Emelie have been suffering from dodgy stomachs now since the last 5 days. Just when you think you are over it it starts again. So you take an Imodium and you are fine for a day and the next day you are back to rushing to the toilet again. Tomorrow I will go to the Doctor to see if they can give me some super cure. Emelie is planning on going on Imodium until 20th of Dec as that is when she leaves and then go to the Doctor when she is home if she has not recovered. Been to the markets in Anjuna and Ingo's market (near Baga and Calangute). Ingo market is much better than the Anjuna market. There you also find live music and loads of food stores. Weve just returned from a day-trip to eastern Goa. After waking up and having a relaxing breakfast we hired a driver to take us on a day of sightseeing and exploring. A highlight was the Sahakari Spice Farm......check em' out at www.sahakarifarms.com! We learned all about where spices come from and how they have a wide variety of medicinal properties. From there we headed North to a large wild-life preserve in the middle-of-nowhere. We got the gate-key from the park ranger and headed on safari with myself, Ade, the taxi-driver, and an employee (who spoke no english)! It was just like the safari at SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE in New Jersey, except it wasnt a theme-park, there was no paved road, and Atlantic City wasnt 60miles away. This was the real thing!!!! We drove a while, ... read more

We've just realized that we haven't added a blog for almost 3 weeks so to you all we may have appeared to have fallen off the face of the earth! It's been almost a month now since we got back and gradually we are really feeling like we are here, its only the last week that we've stopped feeling like we are going home and back to work soon! We have had a hectic few weeks, Sean (my big bro) was here for 10 days, his holiday didn't start too well bless him! The bar next door to us is really nice, we had been in a few times for a drink before Sean got here, the bar staff are really friendly and the beer is cold and cheep, so the evening Sean got here we ... read more

Good holiday vibrations still hum around Baga, situated in the North of Goa. The beaches are filled with sundecks, upon which hundreds of white bodies stretch lazely across, soaking up the sunshine. Visitors to Baga are treated with true Indian courtesy, and whilst basking in the sun, you can request anything your hear desires including cool drinks, books, jewellery, clothes, ciggarrettes, or fruit which you recieve almost immediately. Cocktails, restaurants, Karaoke, fireworks and nightclubs are in mass production here. Brittish Lager Louts can be spotted from a far, and make my skin crawl. Unfortnately, it is only a matter of time before Baga is over-run with these vermon, stamping out the last of India's true nature within Goa. Last night we went to a nightclub called Cubbanna, which was the nicest nightclub i have ever been ... read more

Started the day with breakfast at the Leela cafe - which is situated ahead of Britto's one of the oldest places to eat in Goa and on the beach but right at the end of Baga. Leela cafe was started by some expats I know one of them is swiss for sure. Its a lovely place which over looks the backwaters . the approach is thru the main road and also thru one scary tunnel but its worth thr walk, drive, bike ride thru this tunnel. Later on we hit the shack again for some fly rice and beer..KING's AAHHH!!!!!. We tried everything ion the menu today at the Big Banana - from the chicken and prawn vindaloo curry with rice and the stake burger again...I think also the veg xacuti...which was something like a localised green curry. ... read more

Straight from the Airport went to the beach to hit the best shack on Baga - Big Banana and the owner - Francis who also is the pioneer of what we call shacks and the world calls shantis. This is where you can grab a great chilled beer laze around the entire day, order some great .. I think the best food, This is the place where you can get all the news and whats happening in Goa. Well, we've finally returned to India. Hopefully we'll stay here in Goa until the end of April, when our friend Sanjay and his Papa, have asked us to return with them to their home in Kashmir. Then, we've been invited to a wedding in Delhi in June. We'll need to go somewhere towards the end of March to renew our visas, probably either Sri Lanka or Thailand. The tourist season is beginning to take off, and we return to a different Baga and Calangute to the towns we left three weeks ago. Most bars, shops and restaurants are now open, Calangute in particular is heaving most of the day, and the beach is teeming with hawkers - although probably not yet up to full capacity. There's a new road being built towards the river in Baga, ... read more
