A good shot of the rice paddies and river that make Hampi such an oasis.
Hi everyone! Yes, we are still alive. And still on the beach....... I think we may be able to pull ourselves away after this weekend. It's time to head north and see the "real" India.

We've been having a great time in Goa. Have been living in luxury on the beach doing a lot of nothing and hanging with great people. As a result, we haven't really been too inspired to sit at a computer for a couple hours in a non-air conditioned internet cafe with a not-too-quick internet connection.

We had a fabulous time in the ancient town of Hampi. Hampi is famous for its ruins dating back to the 1400's, and for its geology. It felt like we were living in Bedrock. If you want to see some photos, go to www.larrythellama.com/journal and click the link for Kim. There are some photos of us at the Hanuman Monkey temple and during the Holi festival. Holi is to celebrate the start of spring and the festival consists of drumming, dancing, and throwing coloured powder at anyone and everyone. What a blast!! Like a giant paint fight!! It was pretty cool to celebrate with the locals their rite of

spring, and boy, do they celebrate! We have some great video footage to show you when we return.

Our next stop will be the famous caves at Ellora and Ajunta, then off to Delhi. At least, that's the plan for now.

Hope you are all well and that spring is in the air. Miss you all. Don't hesitate to send us a message, as it's always great to hear from people at home (or from those of you on the road).

Speaking of travellers - to all of those people whom we've met on the road so far, we will soon be heading to Delhi and are looking to share a car and driver for touring the area (The Golden Triangle and Rajasthan). If you think you might be in the area around April 9th, and would like to join us, let us know.

Love,
Kirsten and Mick
