"Backpacking"

After a full week in the city, i felt i needed a break and the arrival of my good friend sammie provided such an opportunity. I basically chilled out at her cool pad in the New Territories. (she tries to play it down but it is a niceplace with big TV's, Football and a Tennis Court.) Ideal for soaking up the true "Backpacking experience"!

Anyway i take advantage of a good shower (not a cold one that i have to hold upright myself) and good toilet facilities. However, this is where the problems began. Fealing fairly under-nourised i feel a good toilet would be a pleasant change. Sammie however failed to mention that the flush often stops working. So after a scene that could belong in a 'Carry On' film i admit my embarrissment to sammie and get the hell out of there! (i wont go in to detail)

So now im back in my hostel which is pretty cool as i meet more people this way, such as some crazy danish guys who gave me some Bug Nut to chew on. This nut managed to close my windpipe for a few minutes! (oh the fun im having!)

The tourist type activities have kind of slowed down for a bit but i did visit a traditional Chinese market yesterday which was an experience to say the least. There were chickens in cages, frogs in cages squeeling when given to a customer oh and a guy hacking up a goat in the middle of the market not to mention the full set of cock-and-balls hanging from one particular stall! I wanted to take pictures but i felt it might offend them and i didnt fancy a behind the scenes trip to the cock-and-balls stand! So unfortunately i still dont have any pictures for you but i will soon.

Now my mates have arrived i'm gonna crack back on with the adventures despite it raining non-stop.

Will keep you all posted when i do something worth reporting.
