Day 5 - 31st January 2010 The Peak and Lamma Island

We woke to a fine sunny day, so decided to head to the Peak to have a look.Bus to the ferry, then ferry over to Central.
The line for the bus to the peak tram was huge, so we decided to bypass the tram and catch bus 15 to the Peak direct. Beautiful views along the way, and the views from the peak were stunning. Still hazy, but much better than the last few days.
We then caught the bus back down and boarded the ferry to Rainbow Restaurant on Lamma Island for lunch.
It was a VERY small boat and the swell was pretty rocking, it took about 50 minutes. No gangplank, very hairy for me getting both on and off the boat.
We had a nice seafood lunch, there wasn't much to see on the Island itself. Thank goodness when we went to the wharf for the return trip, a much larger boat awaited us. It was still a very rocky ride back to TST. A little HK girl, 15 months old took a liking to Shannon & it made Shannon's day. We spoke at length with

Looking South over the sough china sea
the parents, who actually honeymooned in Sydney and visited the Blue Mountains.
We had a look at the Avenue of Stars, similar to Hollywoods, but with handprints etc of chinese movie stars. Lovely views over the harbour to the Island. Caught the hotel shuttle bus back to the hotel.
My leg and back had just about seized up by this point, so a quick baileys in the club loung and off to the room for me, to download photos and do my blog.
Shannon & Faye have headed off to Sneaker Street and Ladies Market to shop!
We are off to Disneyland tomorrow. The days are going so fast.
It is supposed to by sunny and 24 degrees tomorrow. We haven't had one drop of rain (so far).
