We stayed in Lijiang for a day before we headed off to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Lijiang was really pretty and we stayed at a beautiful little guesthouse with a wee courtyard.

This was our first stay on our tour which wasn't a city and we were all loving it! Lijiang was touristy but really pretty and the town at night was very pretty, all lit up with lanterns everywhere. And great shops too although we managed to contain ourselves.....

In the day we went to the Black Dragon Pool Park where there was a lake and a bridge with a view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This was absolutely stunning. This was the first day of having a camera since Beijing (after having broke it) so we went crazzzyy taking loads of photos of the view! We also climbed up one of the mountains which I thought would be a good idea to get my legs in shape for the next day's trek! Better late than never...... he he!
