So this is where the sun would have been. Instead we had clouds. And after a month of clear hot weather. Go Figure.
So today was the day for the “Big” Eclipse here in Shanghai. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. I have attached some pictures of what we saw. It mostly looked like we were getting a really big storm. It did get really dark at one point and the sensors in the apartment complex turned on the lights. A few minutes later as it was getting light again the lights went off. Too bad that was our highlight of the event.

The best part was that a lot of people went outside and stood under the awning to watch so I was able to meet some of our neighbors. I guess we have to look at the good and not what we missed.

We could see the dark even through the clouds. It looked like it was the middle of the night. The white specs are rain drops.

And then it was over.
