Hi All,
So tried something I had never done before horse riding. We did it through Langmusi Tibetan Horse Trekking. It cost 270 rmb, which isnt bad really when 1 hour on a camel cost 100 rmb. We met in the morning at 10 am to be given a crash coarse in horse riding, although there are no helmets available, and then we lead our horses through the town before mounting. We followed the river out of town towards its source. We ventured through some jaw dropping scenery. We came across nomads, yaks, horses and other wildlife along the way, the peace and quiet was wonderful. We were accompanied by two Tibetan men who sang some Tibetan songs along the way.
Once at the river's source we stopped to for about half an hour so that we could take photos.
We then headed back for about half an hour to a nomad's tent where we had a lunch of rice, potato and veg soup. After lunch we headed back to the town arriving back at around 4pm.
I enjoyed how being on a horse made a lot of the wildlife unaware that you were there until the last minute so it all felt very close.
I must admit I didn't enjoy the horsefly bites, the fact that there were no helmets available and we were told that we would have lunch with a nomad family when in fact we sat uncomfortably inside their tent eating while they worked outside.
The horses all appeared to be very calm and they knew where they were going.;D

Enjoy the photos

Jah Bless
