Beijing I left Kobe and Japan on the 16th October for the 3 day journey to Beijing. As usual there was a splattering of fellow travellers, 2 Irish girls, a Japanese girl and the by now obligatory Aussie. The ribbons on the fence behind me are put by people there for luck. Couples often put a lock there also as a symbol of their love for each other although I'm sure I saw a couple of people tying a ball and chain .......
