Bokor hill station
The deserted casino hello all!
hope everybody is fine and well.......we are both fine and still having the time of our lives here!
well since the last blog we decided to travel to kampot in the end, we shared a taxi with a dutch couple called Lyke and Maarten and we have been with them ever since ha ha ha! kampot is a small town near the coast very quiet and not many tourists which is great, the main attraction is bokor hill station, this is an old french rich mans playground with a huge casino hotel church and various other buildings. It was deserted in the wars and it was used as a prison area too! we went on an organised trip to it on a 4WD all sat in the back like dogs ha ha ha! it was a 2hour drive up to the top of the mountain that it is on. The road was not a road more like a dirt track with rocks ditches and water.........along with very low lying trees all the way, which you had to duck to avoid as we were in an open top number it was like something out of a comedy sketch! There

The GHOST can you see him? were us pair our new friends Lyke and Maarten then Richard a guy from London, a girl from Canada a kiwi lass and a fab little Swiss gentleman named Benet! After about an hour of ducking being thrown from side to side ste got slashed by a tree we think it was a palm tree maybe it cut him across the cheek on his lip and nose bless him......every girl puled out a first aid kit god were organized.
Once at the top it had started to rain and was very windy and wet! It all added to the feeling of the place. It was so spooky a big deserted building that was once a huge buzzing casino that has been left to rot away! it was so cold in there too bad spirits i reckon! so many bad things had happened there it was not nice to think about really!
After a good couple of hours exploring it was off down the way we came arrhhhh! bumps bumps tree tree this time with a big piece of plastic as a roof it was one of those funny you cannot believe it is happening moments again!
After our journey from

Maarten and Lyke the mad dutch! hell we were put onto a wooden boat just a bit larger than a canoe maybe and sailed down the river for sunset which was nice and relaxing after our stressful day then we followed that by all eating in an Sri Lankan place on the river the food was so good!
i apologise for any bad spelling the keyboard i am using is not too hot!
