Jambo! We are now in Arusha. We left Balntyre, Malawi on Thursday afternoon after having 10 days in Malawi! We decided to fly back to Tanzania this time rather then taking another 2 day long bus ride! :0)

Malawi was wonderful! We are in love with the country as well as the people! They are all so kind, and our hostess, Sylvia, the woman who runs the Joshua Orphan Care Center treated us like family! It was the best time we have had so far in Africa. A quick summary... We had the opportunity to spend some time at the Namasimba Orphanage and play with the children, visit the college campus that Amber a medical student at the University of Malawi College of Medicine attends, go to Lake Malawi, helped clear a huge space of dirt with a shovel and an adze for the labor clinic which is being built at one of the Joshua sites, and we also went to visit the land (and feeding center that was built on it by another organization) that we paid for with the money from our wedding. Chief Anderson and the ladies who run the feeding center were there to great us

and had a special ceremony. It was wonderful! Thank you very much to everyone that contributed! They are using the money for maize for the children! The children were all so beautiful and happy - there smiles are truly stunning! We learned more about the Joshua Orphan Care Center and were very pleased to see that all of the money that is donated goes straight to the organizations needs such as food, feeding centers, schools, orphanages and the clinic they are currently building. There are no special interests involved and we plan on helping Joshua raise more money and make it a non-profit in the US when we return home!

Tomorrow we are heading out to where the Masai live for a cultural tour and to see them perform a native dance and then on Tuesday we head off on safari for 6 days! We are having an amazing time and hope that everyone is healthy and well at home!

Much Love,
L&T

P.S. Glenda and Kirk - Amber is a great guy and doing very well in school. Sylvia is so sweet and wonderful! You must go and visit them!
