Geo: -33.6417, 19.0044Um 07.30 sind wir parat, Gepäck gepackt und jetzt noch kurz etwas zmörgele. Um 08.00 Uhr ist Thomas da und wir starten mit dem ersten Teil des heutigen Tages, der Besichtigung des Tafelberges. Mit dem Bus fahren wir zur Talstation und dann mit dem "Garaventa" Cable Car hinauf auf den Berg. Für alle, die noch nie oben waren, ist dies sehr eindrücklich, denn es ist ein wolkenfreier Tag und wiederum mit blauem Himmel, also hervorragend für eine Besichtigung. Wir laufen ca. eine halbe Stunde auf dem flachen Bergplateau herum, geniessen die Ausblicke auf die verschiedenen Ansichten von Kapstadt und Camps Bay, sehen viele Pflanzen und auch einige Tiere.Um 10.00 Uhr sind wir zurück im Hotel, checken aus, lassen eine Tasche (Botswana Kleider) dort zurück und dann starten wir unsere Tour. The last few days have been so incredible! My friend Jackie, who I know from my first cruise contract on the Carnival Legend, came to Cape Town on Thursday. She and her friend, Rico, picked me up and whisked me off to the Boland. It was so good to see her - it has been a long time! Going home with Jackie has given me the opportunity to experience a different culture - Afrikans. Everyone in her home area speaks Afrikans, so most of the time, I haven’t a clue what people are saying! Most people know English to speak to me, so I’m lucky. On our travel back to South Africa we did not have so many opportunities to blog. I am sending this from the comfort of our home on Oude Wellington. Thanks to all our friends around the world from Australia to Germany, Denmark, Canada and Africa for your support and encouragment. It was a fantastic safari for all senses. Here is the report of our last days in the bush and beyond.
