Fantastic weather the sun was shining and there is a warm wind. First impression is ‘wow’ the views and the buildings are stunning. Yesterday afternoon went off to the Water Front complex to have a look around, a beautiful development keeping all of the original features of the old Victorian Harbour, sat and soaked up the sun over a Castle beer. Last night we found a fabulous Restaurant called Beluga, located in the old foundry in Prestwich Street; just back from the waterfront, fantastic food & wine have booked up here for New Years Eve Jazz night. The food here is of great quality and reasonably inexpensive.

Today Saturday we decide to have a good look around the City and take in some culture. We walked up to the Planetarium Passing the Parliament Building and the Presidential Palace. We booked in for a show of the ‘sky tonight’ and after an hour’s good sleep in the dark we left refreshed but none the wiser about the stars in the sky tonight. Toured the very diverse architecture in and around Long Street with styles ranging from Victorian through Deco to Modern, an

amazing contrast, some of the best Deco examples we have ever seen and all really well preserved. Time for a sleep, then out for dinner at the Tower Club on the 19th floor of the Sheraton Grand Hotel. We got there just in time to see the last knockings of the sun setting against the Skyline it was breathtaking views difficult to photograph though. Food was out of this world and has inspired me to get cooking again when I get home. We have another busy Day planned tomorrow will let you know more soon.
