A great start to the day we went off to the Tate Modern for a coffee and a snack, was planning to have a go on those fabulous new slides that have now been installed as part of the installation. We decided that waiting in a serious line was not what we wanted to do, had a look round the free bits (reminded ourselves that there is only one Monet and that is not very good) then moved on to the Millennium Bridge an onto St Paul’s (do you know they charge £9 to get in now its daylight robbery) then on to Fleet street where we had lunch in the Old Bank of England, Renowned for its Pies. I will let you find out why but all I will tell you is that they are really good. Before we knew it, it was time to make our way to Heathrow
St Pauls
Glad they have fixed the bridge now to get the flight to Cape Town. Security was massive and it took us two hours to get from the check in to coffee on the other side of security.
Good flight and fab entertainment consul with films and programmes on demand. It also had games to play like Pac Man and Space Invaders such good fun it bought back some old memories of my misspent youth.
Plan to have a fairly quiet day in Cape Town and hopefully catch up on some sleep later
Hope that this Blog thing works
