The Rwanda Genocide took place in 1994 and lasted about 100 days. The altercation was between the Hutus and the Tutsis. The Hutus where a majority and they had control over the minority, the Tutsis. The Tutsi got mad because they were being oppressed by so long by the Tutsis that they revolted back and through the 100 day about 500,000-1,000,000 people died. The Tutsis revolted in 1990 a rebel group of Tutsi refugees attempted to invade Rwanda and kill all of the Hutus. That day they began a civil war. In response to the invasion the Hutus fought back effortlessly killing a huge number of Tutsis. At the end of the war between 500,000-1,000,000 people where killed. Many other people were displaced and since then there has been tension between both ethnic groups.
