Back Again...

This time just a quick note..

The last week i have been spending my mornings at the local nursery school with the tiny tots whom are adoreable. The first days i was there i would make at least one of the kids cry when they saw me.. ow 😞 but thankfully their getting used to the Mzungu.

The poor teachers have no supplies including sugar which is the main drawcard to get the kids to school as they give them tea, but lately have not been able to. From the picture you can see their toy cupboard consists of a mere couple of pieces of lego so we struggle to keep them entertained. I've chipped in as much as possible but if anyone has any old toys, clothing etc that they no longer need it would be greatly appreciated if you could send them to:

Furthermore with the rainy season the carvers are not seeing as many overland trucks so are also struggling to make money, so if anyone would like some carvings let me know and i can post them back to Aus. For a salad bowl and a fruit bowl as pictured it costs $50 inc. postage although it can take six months but will arrive just in time for chrissy. So if anyone would like bowls, coasters, key rings, signs, bracelets etc please let me know so we can help these guys stay affloat.

On a different note my time here in Malawi is slowly starting to come to an end. I plan to head south mid June with another volunteer. The journey will no doubt be adventurous as we are both on a strict budget so hitch hiking and public transport witht the chickens, fish etc will make for good stories. We're heading through Zambia and Namibia on our way to South Africa where i'm partaking on another volunteer placement. Looking forward to the fun ahead although don't know how i'm going to say goodbye to many of the beautiful people here in Malawi.

Well best save my money cos internet is slow and expensive but definately let me know if i can get anyone some presents etc or send any donations that you might find round the house that you no longer need as it will be greatly appreciated and make a little Malawian extremely happy 😊
