Wow.... Again, so very sorry to hear of your malaria. As i said before, viv and i were brainstorming ideas in case things took a turn for the worse... Not that any ideas we came up with would have helped! haha, we're such losers... Anywho, just saw your new hot look! blonde mel! reminds me of tintern yr 9, when we were all skinny and hot.. except you are skinny and hot and i'm jealous of you right now! god bless not eating enough food! haha j/k anywho, sam got to sth africa safe, although she did have problems with meeting up with her travel group.. have you heard the story? it's hilarious!! i'll let you know later if you haven't already heard.. bless hamish and her naive ways :) anyways, miss you heaps and heaps and can't wait to see you again lovi stay safe!!!

Hi Mel, so great to read your blogs. Your Mum and I are keeping each other up to date with yours and Nathans travels. I think we need to start a support group for "mothers of travelling children!" I've changed my email to rgrice rather than rkendall so I had to subscribe to your blog again! ha ha stupid me, saw your mum yesterday and she asked if I'd read your last blog which made me wonder why I hadn't received the link ha ha but now I know why and all is sorted! hey! ok the past couple of weeks i have really been missing u. i was ok for the first few months but i want u back!"?? too funny...
omg you are possibly the funniest person on this planet!! the mushrooms, the food poisoning (i felt so bad for you.. i wish i was there to nurse you!!!) makes for horrible, yet entertaining reading! random thing this week... I think finally it's hit me that you're not around at the moment.. do you get me? like sometimes you might not see someone for a long time, but kick it and meet for a coffee or something.. but i just realised this week how much i fucking (sorry for swearing marg! love ya :) miss you!! you, as always, look like you're having a ball.. from the pictorials, you looked tho you've lost a ton of weight.. as to be expected from puking your stomach lining up several times a week... bless your bile stained clothing! anywho, apologies for not writing for a while, i've been on nursing rounds and zombie-like for the past week! miss you heaps and heaps grice-meister, and look forward to the next entry :) xoxoxox

Ha Ha, you really did suffer in your jocks didnt you!
Hey Mels, Glad to here you are keeping well. But if it makes you feel any better I was sick with food poisoning the same week you were, although I did get a needle in the arm for it, i'm sure it's nothing like you experienced. It's a good feeling when you have vomited all your stomach acid up. I liked the way it burns the throught. (just like a good shot of tequila) Looking forward to your return.

Baby update
Hey mel, just thought id keep u informed with the whole pregnancy thingo!(I am now 14 1/2 weeks along) Andy and i went for our first ultrasound about a week and a half ago, all is well, baby is healthy, and full of beans, dont know what sex it is yet but andrew is 100% convinced there is a little man in there, and i am 100% swinging towards having a little girl, so will be interesting to see what happens at the 20 week scan! Am starting to feel the baby move a little bit now, its so exciting!!!!! Your blogs have been fantastic, i love hanging out to look at all the beautiful photos, ur a very lucky girl, cant wait till u come home, miss you heaps and hope to hear from you again soon, take care, and dont go eating anything that looks the slightest bit suspicious xxxxxxx

geez... i think i have said it once before but i so look forward to your story-telling wizardry! you are so good at expressing your situation! can i just say, of all your little travels so far, there are two at which inspire me the most. first, i am so so jealous of your visit to the maasia's! if i could do one thing in Africa it would possibly be to visit this interesting group.. they're so knowledgeable of the land they inhabit... secondly, your visit to the trials of the Rwandan genocide. this moment in history makes me ashamed of being a westerner. not because we contributed to the montrosities.. but as one young girl once said "the day the west forgot about us" i don't now if you know about my love for a young kiwi singer called Brooke Fraser. now this chick is amazing and the reason i'm telling you of her is because she is in love with africa and travelled there for world vision. while she was in rwanda she met a young girl called albertine who was caught up in the genocide. she came back and felt it was her duty to spread the word of what happened back in 94' in order to educate the world on what happened. her new album is amazing and her single 'albertine' is beautiful but awfully sad. check out www.myspace.com/brookefraser to hear it.. you'd love it anywho, look really forward to seeing you again. when do you come home? and are you uber excited about surfing? i hope your a strong swimmer.. and beware of the sharks! what am i talking about.. i'm the one that got rescued on schoolies haha, not you!! love and miss you heaps.. be careful, and don't get food poisoning! love roxi p.s sorry for the essay.. i was excited...

Mels, keep up the experience. Australia thrased South Africa in the cricket to come top of group. India and Pakistan are out. Pakistan's coach was murdered in the hotel after they lost to Ireland. A player or two may be involved or betting group. Australia play West Indies tonight Tuesday. Cousins from West Coast Eagles has been suspended from his club indefinately due to drug taking. Work is Ok. Saw Andrew and Tennile last sunday and went to Docklands for lunch. Love you heaps. Look after yourself.

melania! so i bumped into marg the other day and i think i may have accidentally scared the shit out of her by telling her that zanzibar is a haven for white kidnappings! my bad... here's some trivia for you! did you know zanzibar is the birth place of Queen frontman, Freddy Mercury?! yes you probably do, but i will tell you trivia on all the places you are visiting in order to pimp yourknowledge! after all.. i did win an audition for Temptation! on channel 9! wooooo, wish me luck, it's next friday.. so please look out for yourself.. even though i know you're not a dumb girl.. i still worry for you sometimes, in the crazy but beautiful africa! love you lots and miss you heaps!!!

So awesome to read another blog fixer. I have to say i am in love with "Mr Bin" That guy is a real go getter. I never knew you were such a great writer until you went overseas and started putting your talent into something beautiful. Sure beats writing your name on the door at the O.C. Keep up the good work champ. Lots of people are missing you! We have to live it up when you get back. I leave for the States on the 23rd of August so hopefully we can fit a few party nights in Melbourne before I leave. Xx
