Hello!
Well a lot has happened in the past week or so. Firstly my filling from Zanzibar fell out after less than a week so that was pretty annoying. Additionally it came while flossing of all things. I have since spent 12000 shillings and went to the US Embassy dentist here in Nairobi. Since leaving Zanzibar as far as major events we spent a few days in the Ngorogoron Crater/Serengeti area of Tanzania and a few days in the Masai Mara section of Kenya. I am one folder behind in my photo posting as all of the photos in this blog are from Malawi or Tanzania. Also my super cool braids or "plats" fell out after around 10 days. While on safari we saw some amazing things including a cheetah killing a gazelle. He moved as fast as a race car off of a starting line. We also saw a male lion doing an estress (spelling) check on a female. The system is such that whenever a male lion likes he goes up to a female lion and puts his nose in her bum. This is the pee on demand signal that is mandatory for the female lion. If she is in heat then they mate, if not then nothing happens. Other than that we saw some rhinos in the distance and more hippos, which are slowly becoming an animal favourite. I think Laura still prefers the lions. Yesterday we walked right in to the Marriott and used their swimming pool with no security checks at all. It was nice to watch some CNN again! Also the Nairobi coffee is awesome!

Anyhow, next up is Ethiopia for Ethiopian New Years. We leave on Saturday for 10 days or so there before moving on to Dubai. They have their own calendar and time system as well. Basically if the sun rises at 6am then at 7am it is 'one oclock' and at 9am it is 'three oclock' ..then an hour after sunset it is again 'one oclock.' We were advised to ask "local time or foreigner time."

Is this taken from a moving vehicle? I love taking pictures from a moving vehicle. You're never quite sure what will turn out but some (like this one) are pretty good. Particularly after cropping.

I see that you got to the coast! Great images by the way! Did you get to the multi-cultural city of Mombasa? I really would like to visit this area. I have heard there are great opportunities to swim with Whalesharks.
