Above Luxor
Hight above Luxor in the hot air ballon. was well worth getting out of bed in the early hours of the morning for!Today was one of the hardest times for me to get out of bed, I didn’t sleep for more than half an hour at a time but knowing this day was going to be one of the most interesting parts of my stay in Egypt I had to drag myself out of bed and get going.
Today was the day for me to have a hot air balloon ride over Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. After waking up around 5:30am we finally arrived at the hot air balloon site around 7am. The trip was really cool, the pilot was very pretty skilled, he took us in and around trees to show off I guess. The flight lasted a little over an hour and we got to see the Valley of the Kings and Luxor, the desert and many other archeological sites.
After we landed we were shuttled off to the meeting point to pick up our asses (donkeys) for our ride from the Nile - Luxor to the Valley of the Kings. The donkey ride was really fun, I didn’t realize how easy they are to ride. Visiting all the tombs at was a real eye opener,

there were plenty of other balloon rides that same morning I couldn’t believe how many kings were buried there.
There is said to be 62 tombs there however they have only located 60. I visited king Tuts tomb as well as king Ramsies II
