Oct. 17 & 18 Chobe Botswana

Days 9-10

Oct 17: Just sitting here as elephants drink a few feet away! We are at Elephant Sands Campground in Botswana...quite amazing to camp a few feet from where elephants come for a drink! All going really well after 2 days of long drives through savannah and the "pans" of Botswana. Today, of to Chobe National Park and evening river cruise. Happy Birthday Kim...we'll celebrate when we get back!

Oct. 18 Heavy rain last night but cozy and dry in our tents and sunshine today...comfortable temps but 34 at the border crossing yesterday. Tomorrow, a safari and river cruise. This country is so beautiful, loving it!
