yes, it's true, we're still on the road, but today marks the last leg of our bicycle tour. We will be riding from the Wagbo Peace Center and Providence Farm in East Jordan to Blackbird Gardens in Petoskey - our final stop! We have managed to slip rides into sunny days in what has otherwise been a wet October in Northern Michigan, and it looks like today will also be sunny and pleasant, but there is snow in the forecast for later in the week, so we're wrapping up just in time. It looks like we're going to be just shy of 1000 miles of cycling, and will have visited 31 CSA farms. We have over 60 hours of raw video footage to mill over in the coming months and attempt to shape into a documentary about our trip and CSAs in Michigan.
While this journey has been amazing, we are looking forward to staying put for some time, settling in to the Traverse City area for the winter and exploring farming possibilities of our own. Stay tuned for further reflections on 5 months of itinerant farming and bicycling.
Thanks to everyone who has helped make this adventure possible - you all have a farm to visit in Northern Michigan, just as soon as we find it!
much love from (somewhat) weary travelers,
Michelle and Marty

Holy Sh#t!
I ran into Sanjay while out to dinner in Brooklyn last weekend - he tapped me on the shoulder (sitting at the table behind me) and said "did you live in Boulder, CO?" So, he told me what you were up to - haven't talked to you in a while! Glad to hear about the bike trip. We were in Traverse City this summer for a little side trip after Brian's cousin's wedding in the UP. I am a newly converted fan of Northern MI (also camped at Pictured Rocks and climbed the dunes at Sleeping Bear, ate a vegetarian pastie). Keep in touch! KS
