Another small drive today, so we decided to drive from Titusville to St Augustine on the 1. It is a scenic local road, so not as fast as the freeway, but a lot more interesting to drive along. This is a road that literally has one of each shop at regular intervals along the whole length of the road.
Only a small amount of shopping today, as we think we now have everything we need. Our fingers are crossed that everything we have will fit into luggage we have.
We have booked into the Historic Inn for three nights so we can do a little bit of Florida touristic bits.
All the shopping has been offloaded so we can start the process of packing up the extra bags. Just in case we have a little bit of space unfilled, we will have a couple of days after we leave here to do a little more shopping if required. As always, the savings we make always pays for the extra cases for our return flight home from Barcelona.
There did not look to be much around the hotel area, so we walked over the estuary and into St
Augustine. It looks to be an area steeped in history, but not many of your normal places to eat.
We found a place called the Prohibition Kitchen. It looked to be very popular and having looked at the menu we agreed there was something there that we could each enjoy. It was a like an upmarket sports bar and they had Skidoo racing on the TV which was very interesting. The food was excellent even if it was a bit more expensive than we are used to.
