La Serena and Pisco Valley

La Serena was just a normal city but I did end up staying a little longer than planned cause the hostel was lovely and comfortable and after all the early mornings in San Pedro, I wanted to sleep! The beach here was not great but hey still a beach! The only adventure I did was the Isla Damas which supposedly has 4000 Humboldt penguins on it but I only saw about 5. However we did see dolphins, otors ( don't know how to write that) and sea lions so it was still an exciting tour.
I then went to spend a couple of days in the Pisco Valley where star gazing is a must. I went to a family owned observatory where's they explained with a super powerful laser pointer where was what. Super interesting to watch stars with someone who knows about them. He pointed at Venus, Mars, some nebulaes and constellations as well as the brightest star of the Southern Hemisphere Sirius. We watched all this through the telescope, some looked like diamonds, it was real pretty and of course the moon was very cool to watch up close.
The second day, I rented a bike and got it on abus to Pisco elqui village with the hope of cycling down the 40km long road back to Vicuña where I was saying. It was a gorgeous ride but I had not been told how much wind there was and therefore cycling downhill was just as hard as uphill cause you had to fight it so hard. I stopped halfway in an empty cafe where the owner was excited to receive a foreigner and we chatted for a while until I then grabbed a bus to finish the route haha, was too painful!!

Conversation is too far
I wouldn't say conversational yet but with the help of gestures I can go somewhere and if they speak slowly I understand the main stuff haha! All good fun though! Xx

Isa you like it so much you wrote it twice hehe, of course I can send it to you, glad you like it, I did not imagine them to be such small animals and had no idea they could live here, thought they were in North America and Europe so was a good surprise! Xxx
